This here Summer in Abandon mod was inspired by a seldom surfed right reef point and namesake (Evo’s) wave here in Victoria. A fickle spot that rarely works over chest high and races off over a shallow button reef. I found the wave a blast to ride on my 5’7” S.I.A., but more often than not, I’d plant my feet forward on the board and high line over the shallow reef. With that I decided to start with a standard 5’7” S.I.A. and lop off 5” from the tail, cut in a shallow swallow and set the fins back. The result, a 5’2” twin fin of glossy goodness complete with chimed rail and back foot concave built for flow and down the line speed.
